For the past few years, we have been self-proclaimed veterans of living in a different country every three months — yet when we think of our time at GoBanana, it feels like an eternity, in the best way possible.

The space and neighbourhood are truly special. We grew most fond of our daily evening walks in the nearby park, having our morning coffee on the upstairs window and the connections staying at GoBanana brought: Harrison himself, or the lovely Ojisan (おじいさん) greeting us every morning during his traffic-safety volunteer shift.

And lastly, as creatives and professional vibe sourcers, GoBanana is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Everything is arranged to keep you inspired — from the working-space setup to the amenities to the little knick-knacks on the shelves. (Hallelujah, fibre internet.)

Hoping to return very soon!!

First time in Japan, and I loved my stay at Go Banana in Tokyo. I couldn't have asked for a better landing pad.

I came out for a experimental ambient sound project and specifically chose to stay here over the usual central spots, which turned out to be the right call. Being a little outside the chaos meant I could actually think, work, and decompress at the end of long days.

Harrison hooked it up with a full guide to the neighborhood and the city, plus a house manual that genuinely saved me. Japanese utilities can be a maze if you've never dealt with them before, and having everything laid out made the place feel immediately livable instead of like a puzzle.

The house itself is cozy in the best way. Full kitchen, and the train station is right there, as well as local restaurants and a grocery store. Shibuya is less than 30-minutes on a direct line, so you're never far from the noise when you want it, but you get to come home to a quieter pocket of the city, which I didn't realize I'd appreciate as much as I did.

Thank you Harrison, I look forward to coming back to Tokyo and stay at Go Banana!

Staying at Go Banana was like getting a slice of Japanese life. It's SUPER close to the train line with easy access, yet in a quieter area.

I loved going out and being in the thick of Tokyo and then being able to come home and relax (in the wicked soaker tub).

Harrison was an amazing and gracious host. His insider tips led me to the most amazing food and site seeing (not to mention meeting lots of locals out and about). With all the amenities and a very comfortable bed, it was the perfect place to stay that I hope to visit again!

Go Banana became our home base for the whole trip. Not just Tokyo, but everything.

We'd explore the city, then use it as a launchpad for a few days out in Naoshima (the art islands), then come back and slide right back into the rhythm of the place like we'd never left. That return felt special.

After a long day in Tokyo, surfing neighborhoods and getting properly lost on the subway, we collapsed back into Go Banana and immediately exhaled.

Gabe came back with a hand-painted Pikachu scroll and many souvenirs. We also decided to gift a special book we found on our travels for Harrison and other Go Banana guests to enjoy.

Oh, and the bath. We both loved the bath. After miles of walking and trains and exploring, that soak was everything.

The fact that we kept coming back, and wanted to spend more time to relax here says it all. Already planning the next trip.
